About

I want to say that this blog is about scientists, but maybe it’s about something more.

In academia, we tend to delay joy and satisfaction until the next “win”. Maybe that win is an award, a publication, a dissertation defense, or a new position. These things all feel great. But sometimes, we miss the small things.

The small things make us human. Like your RIN values finally being decent when isolating RNA from a difficult tissue. Or even bigger, the warm embrace of the sun when you step outside during your lunch break.

This blog is a reminder that scientists are human. If you happen to be human, then you’re in the right place!
